Lagos, Nigeria, May 11, 2017, the Association of Music Artistes Managers of
Nigeria (AMAMN) had social media training for its members tagged “Social Media Training
for Artiste Managers” on May 9, 2017 and its main facilitator was Osagie Alonge, editor of
Pulse, Nigeria.
The famed Bogobiri at Maitama Sule, Falomo was the venue and members
of the association came from Lagos and its environs. The seminar focused on the impact of
social media use in press engagement for an artiste, how to harness the benefits and link
it (social media) to traditional press, the rules of social media engagement and social
media marketing, branding and social media fans engagement.
The event was fashioned as an interactive session, with members asking
questions based on real life situations and useable answers given after a collective brain
storming session, that considers the peculiarity of the person in question experience.
A follow up seminar on social media is billed for next month, June,
with the association holding a charity football match among members and artistes also in the month
of June.
